Early lounge chair model Egg Chair 3316

Designed in 1958 for the Royal SAS Hotel in Copenhagen. Early version by Fritz Hansen. Fiberglass reinforced plastic, leather, profiled cast aluminum. 106 x 88 x 85 cm. Marked on the underside with stamp FH in a circle + Made in Denmark.

The leather is in good condition with an attractive patina. Light crazing on the right armrest. The upholstery is a little hard in the back area and has partially sagged. Otherwise the upholstery is a little harder on the surface but flexible. The piping on the left 'ear' has a small, rubbed-through spot.
