There are various ways to bid in our auctions. Whether in person in the auction hall, online in real time, by phone, or in writing—choose the bidding method that works best for you. Bidding in the Auction Hall

Our auctions take place at our location at Wiedstraße 21 in Krefeld.

If you’d like to participate in the auction in person, you’ll need a bidder number, which is issued before the auction begins. We ask new customers to bring a valid ID card or passport.

Live Bidding via Our Website

With our online service, you can follow the auction in real time on your computer, tablet, or smartphone and bid live.

To do so, you must have a verified customer account and be registered for the respective auction. Once your account has been successfully activated, you can conveniently participate in the bidding online.

Online Bids and Advance Bids

As soon as the lots for an auction are published online, you can submit advance bids through your customer account.

To do so, click “Place a Bid” next to the item you’re interested in, enter your maximum bid amount, and confirm the auction terms and conditions. You will then receive an automatic confirmation via email.

Alternatively, you can register directly for telephone bidding.

Please note that online bids can only be placed or modified up to six hours before the auction begins.

Written Bids

Written bids can be conveniently submitted using our bid form.

The form is available for download on our website, can be obtained at the auction house, and is included with our printed catalogs.

Please enter the auction number, lot number, item description, your maximum bid, and your contact information, and send us the signed form via email or mail.

We will only bid on your behalf to the extent required by competing bids. The lot may therefore be sold for significantly less than your specified maximum bid.

Telephone Bidding

If you would like to bid in person during the auction but are unable to be on site, we offer our telephone bidding service.

To use this service, please provide your phone number (and an alternate number, if you wish) on the bid form or during online registration. A staff member will contact you a few minutes before the desired lot is called and will assist you during the bidding process.

You can also register for telephone bidding directly through our website. To do so, select “Place a Bid” for the desired lot and then choose the “Telephone Bidding” option.
