Designed in 1949. Manufactured by Ludwig Pontoppidan, 1949. Molded wood, teak, leather upholstery. Dimensions: 80 x 71x 57 cm. Seat height: 41 cm. Provenance: One of only four pieces produced for the 1949 Copenhagen Art Cabinetmakers Exhibition, where it was acquired by Kai Gottfredsen. In a Danish private collection since 1995; subsequently sold at Christie’s in the Design Auction on November 3, 2015; has been in private ownership ever since
