Altar shrine, 18th century

A corresponding upper section is formed by opposing rocaille brackets with sculpted floral and foliate crowning elements. Inside the niche is a cloudy sky with putti in relief. The loosely placed figures of the kneeling Mary and the Christ Child are likely later additions.
