Two tapestry strips, 17th century

Woven fabric in wool and silk in various shades of green, blue, brown, and beige, with a modern linen backing. The central image features a large deciduous tree with a bird, either in a dense woodland or on a riverbank amidst flowers and grasses. The background depicts a hilly landscape with houses or an idealized, castle-like architectural style. The border is decorated with a dense floral tendril motif.
