Pair of model chests of drawers, late 18th century

Softwood, painted green, gilded, stuccoed, and polychrome. Straight, rectangular body on a molded apron and baluster feet. Three opposing, curved drawers in the front. The drawer tops are painted with depictions of an elegant lady or gentleman, the drawer fronts and sides with depictions of birds and flowers, all framed and further decorated with stuccoed and gilded rocaille. Drawers with bone knobs, the interiors lined with original decorative paper. Each approximately: 17 x 19 x 15.5 cm.
