Neoclassical chest of drawers
Fruitwood and various precious woods veneered on softwood. A straight, rectangular body flanked by narrow, corner pilasters on slanted, square legs. The articulated front features two visually connected drawers without crossbars, inlaid with a floral tondo featuring a large bow. The entire surface is covered in wide-framed veneer panels of cube marquetry. The slightly protruding top also features a matching floral tondo. Gilded bronze appliqués. Probably Rheinsch. 83.5 x 94 x 57 cm. Provenance Private Collection Düsseldorf.
