Louis XVI style work table
Mahogany veneer on softwood. A mill-wheel-style rotating mechanism framed by two curved side panels with bridge legs features four box-like compartments for work utensils. The oval top is made of Breche d'Alep marble, veined in beige and various shades of red, framed by a brass strip. It features fillet-like veneer panels framed on all sides. Rosettes are made of gilded bronze. 83 x 56.5 x 41 cm. Provenance: Estate of the industrialist and Olympic dressage champion Gabriela Grillo.
