Pair of guardian figures (Lokapala) with Sancai glaze
The opposing guards each stand on a reclining ox resting on a rock-like pedestal. One guard's arms are outstretched, originally intended to hold a bow, while the other's are stretched out in front of his stomach to hold a lance. Their unglazed faces display grim expressions. Both guards are clad in armor decorated with ornaments. Light earthenware with a green, brown, and straw-colored, very finely cracked sancai glaze. Height: 80 cm each.
