The sculptor Fritz Klimsch (1870–1960) is one of the most important representatives of early 20th-century German sculpture. He became known primarily for his finely modeled female nudes, which embody an idealized, timeless beauty. Klimsch's style is characterized by classical harmony, serene unity, and a sensitive treatment of the surface, which makes his figures appear both alive and otherworldly.
