Design circa 1955. Executed by Atelier Fornasetti. Lacquered wood, gold transfer print. 68 x 70 x 35 cm. Base professionally replaced. Panoplie decors are a characteristic design element in Fornasetti's work. The decors are based on historical trophy compositions and transfer them—expanded to include instruments, tools, and vegetal elements—in a graphically dense form typical of Fornasetti, onto furniture surfaces. The combination and arrangement of motifs vary, resulting in unique compositions in each model.
