Peter Handel is among the contemporary artists who dedicate themselves to representational painting with remarkable precision. His hyperrealistic nudes, in particular, testify to exceptional technical skill and an intense engagement with the human body. In his works, Handel succeeds in rendering skin, light, and surface with almost photographic accuracy. But beyond mere depiction, his nudes unfold a quiet presence: the human body appears not idealized, but in its immediate, often unembellished reality.
