Pair of Crater Vases, late 19th century
Blackened bronze, partially gilded. A rounded foot with a relief palmette frieze rests on a square base. The amphora-shaped vessel has a distinctly set-off bulbous lower section. Two ear-shaped handles in the form of eagle heads adorn the sides. H. 31 cm, D. 17 cm. Provenance:
