Morion with comb, in the style of the 16th century.

Iron, hammered and etched. Two-part skullcap with a high, scalloped and laced comb. Rivets around the lower edge of the skullcap. Pointed brim with scalloped edge. Fine black solder etching across the entire surface; on the sides, between dense arabesque decoration and beneath winged genii, a tournament rider with lance in full armor on horseback; on the comb, on both sides, tournament scenes, also surrounded by dense arabesque decoration. Remnants of a riveted leather band inside. H 26 cm, L 36 cm; Head diameter 21 cm.
