Bronze, dark patinated. H. 45 cm. Signed (F)K (incised) on the neck. Base: H.NOACK BERLIN (stamped). The entrepreneur Herbert Grillo (1906-83) came from a metalworking family and ran the Grillo trading company, based in Duisburg, now known as NE-Metalle. The Grillo family was also known for its social commitment. Provenance: Estate of the industrialist and Olympic dressage champion Gabriela Grillo.
