Each signed in pencil: Ziegler. Richard Ziegler was a German painter, draftsman, and graphic artist. In 1925, he moved to Berlin, where he participated in the November Group exhibitions from the following year. He married Mathilde Rosenthal, a relative of Max Liebermann, in 1925, and divorced her in 1928. At the end of 1932, Richard Ziegler emigrated into exile in Yugoslavia with his Jewish fiancée and later second wife, Edith Lendt.
