Designed by Josef Hoffmann, 1911. Manufactured by the Wiener Werkstätte in 1911. Candlestick M 1792. This magnificent candlestick consists of two inverted hemispheres, connected by four small spherical elements. The upper bowl contains a cylindrical insert with a spout for the candle. The piece is complemented by a ribbon-like, curved handle with a curled bottom. The object is hallmarked on the lower edge with the artist's monogram (JH) and two Wiener Werkstätte hallmarks (a rose mark and a three-line word mark). 15.5 x 22 x 16.8 cm.
