Pair of Directoire Cassolettes Brûle Parfum, circa 1800
Alabaster and gilded bronze. Urn with a bell-shaped lid and fruit finial on a square, simply stepped base. The vessel features a surrounding circle of garland-bearing women and putti. The base is decorated with Hermes masks. One lid is broken and old. Restored. H. 47 cm. Provenance: Private Collection Düsseldorf
