Flat desk in Louis XV style

Mahogany and various precious woods veneered on oak. A cambered frame on curved legs. The articulated front features a shallow knee compartment and three drawers of varying sizes, with matching drawers on the back. A slightly projecting, profile-framed top panel with an inlaid brown leather worktop. The veneer panels are arranged in a mirrored pattern, bordered by ribbon inlays, and feature rich gilt bronze appliqués. 179 x 92 x 79 cm. Provenance: Private Collection Düsseldorf
