Classical console table and mirror

Softwood, carved, painted, and gilded. Mirror: 145 x 62.5 cm. The console table (80 x 89 x 46 cm) rests on multi-jointed, fluted baluster legs, connected below by a curved bridge to a central urn-shaped vase. The straight, profiled frame is decorated on all sides with a meander frieze and rosettes. Rectangular, slightly overhanging gray marble top. The matching, upright, rectangular mirror has a profiled rim and an openwork upper section with a round cartouche and sculpted laurel branches. The lower section features sculpted laurel festoons. Two-piece mirror glass. Provenance: Private Collection Düsseldorf
